You really want to host great equestrian events and clinics next year …but all that paperwork and promotion responsibility just seems overwhelming.
Here are 5 tips to battle Organizer procrastination in the New Year:
1 . Limit your commitment.
Get your basics established, then complicate. It’s just like training a horse!
If you’re just starting out, pick just 2-3 types of activities to host in the year. You might try a spring/fall clinic and summer schooling jumper show, for example.
2. Keep it consistent.
The more routine you can make your overall system, the easier the paperwork will become. Even the most productive of us procrastinate when we’re exhausted from handling customization requests from riders every day.
3. Use templates as much as possible.
Coming up with a brand new description or flier for every single show or clinic is time consuming and exhausting!
Ideally you want to simply update the date, then publish. Click here for sample equestrian activity templates you can tweak in seconds for your facility.
4. Use a Facebook Business page for marketing…not a personal one.
A FacebookBusiness page allows you to schedule posts up to six months in advance! That way you can announce the activity, post the registration link, schedule registration reminders, include closing date prompts…all without stress.

5. Take 15 minutes.
Each Sunday evening , take 15 minutes to plan your paperwork tasks for the next week. Stay 20 feet away from your cellphone to limit distractions.
Review what was incomplete from the previous week.
Revise, repeat.
It’s simple, but it works!
