Here’s how it works:

  • STRIDER proactively collects the industry-standard processing fee on every transaction.

  • Because we’re a PayPal Global Partner, approved non-profits automatically receive PayPal’s discounted processing rate (typically 1.59%–1.99%).

  • The difference between PayPal’s reduced rate and the standard rate is returned to your organization as part of the Give-Back Program.

🐴 How to Activate Your Savings

  1. Activate your StriderBasic (free!) or StriderGold membership.

  2. Get approved to use StriderPay — it’s free and takes about five minutes.

  3. Once approved, your non-profit PayPal rate automatically applies to all funds your association receives.

🔒 Verify Your PayPal Non-Profit Rate

Since STRIDER is a Global Partner of PayPal, their support team can help you quickly confirm your non-profit rate and ensure your account is secure.

To confirm your rate:

  1. Log in to PayPal and check your account rates.

    • Look for a fee range of 1.59%–1.99%.

    • If you see 3% or higher, call PayPal Merchant Support at 1-866-745-4021, then press #1 for Merchant Sales.

When you call, say:

“We’re a non-profit using PayPal to receive funds via Venmo, credit cards, and PayPal on the STRIDER platform. You should have a PayPal Partner brief for STRIDER in your system. We’d like our qualified 501(c)(3) processing rate applied to all transactions. What information do you need from us to apply those rates?”

Before you call:

  • Have your 501(c)(3) documentation ready.

  • PayPal Support Hours:

    • Monday–Friday: 9:00 AM–8:00 PM EST

    • Saturday: 10:00 AM–2:00 PM EST
