We take seriously the hard work that goes into amazing photography and written works. We fully support both the Digital Millennium Copyright Act and the Federal Trade Commission Act.

STRIDER™ respects the intellectual property rights of others and desires to offer a platform which contains no content that violates those rights.  We urge all Users and posting Members to respect copyrighted photos, accurately source creative media,  and to obtain permission for use where appropriate.

Our User Agreement requires that information posted by Members be accurate, lawful and not in violation of the rights of third parties.  All STRIDER platform & service users agreed to abide at all time by STRIDER™User Terms & Conditions, to include our Copyright Policy.
Before a user may upload content to the STRIDER™, they must state that they own or have permission from the copyright owner to upload the content.

Ensuring proper credit/revenue to a photographer for their hard work and professional endeavors will go a long way to minimizing misunderstanding.  Examples:

Steps To File a Copyright or DMCA Complaint
To promote these objectives, STRIDER™ provides a process for submission of complaints concerning content posted by our Members or Users.

1. CONTACT THE POSTING MEMBER
You MUST first reach out to the posting User for amicable resolution before submitting a claim to our legal department. They are the responsible party for the content. If you believe that your work has been uploaded to the Strider Platform  in a way that constitutes copyright infringement  by a Strider member or user, please first contact the Strider User/Organizer of the associated activity directly with your copyright concerns. Their contact details are clearly listed on the associated activity page.

Keep in Mind:  We can not arbitrarily remove web content without due process or interfere with our users’ rights to post content, when such content is compliant with law and our Platform terms.
Under Federal Law, STRIDER is legally prohibited from action that obstructs fair competition and commerce. Contact the poster FIRST!

2. NOTIFY STRIDER LEGAL AGENT
If you, the copyright owner, did not provide permission, and cannot get resolution with the posting Strider Member, then you (the owner) may then notify STRIDER™ by sending a written Copyright Infringement Notification or a “takedown” notice.  

To submit a report in writing, please email support@striderpro.com with the below information. ENSURE ALL ITEMS ARE INCLUDED.

  1. The correspondence you have had with the posting Member/User asking for resolution. Your license dispute/copyright concerns are first with them.
  2. A description and/or link to the copyrighted work that you claim has been infringed upon;
  3. A description and link of where the material that you claim is infringing is located on the site
  4. Proof of registered work with US Copyright office, if applicable
  5. Your address, telephone number, and e-mail address
  6. The copyright owner’s name and contact information.
  7. A sworn statement by you that you did not provide permission for the content to be uploaded to the site, and the disputed use is not authorized by the copyright owner, its agent, or the law;
  8. A statement by you, made under penalty of perjury, that the above information in your notice is accurate and that you are the copyright owner or authorized to act on the copyright owner’s behalf.
  9. A electronic or physical legally binding signature of the person authorized to act on behalf of the owner of the copyright interest;

Under Federal & State Law,  we must follow due process in investigating your complaint.
We require 4-6 business days to investigate your complaint and provide a written response with our decision. It will always be faster resolution for you to contact the posting party first and ask them to remove the content.

We delete content within 48 hours upon receipt of:

  1. Written request from a subscriber to remove content they posted improperly (may incur $150 admin fee) OR;
  2. Notice that a United States District Court lawsuit has been filed against subscriber for copyright infringement.

WARNING:  Any notice you submit must be truthful and must be submitted under penalty of perjury. A false notice or counter-notice may give rise to personal liability. You may want to seek the advice of legal counsel before submitting a notice or a counter-notice.
Consistent with the Federal Trade Commission Act, Strider is required to maintain a fair marketplace without discrimination. Consistent with Title II Section III of the Digital Millennium Copyright Act of 1998, Strider requires that subscriber can post material that they own or have license to use
Takedown requests that are made for anti-competitive or harassing purposes will be met with legal action. In the event we determine your claim is repeatedly frivolous or intended to cause unwarranted economic harm, we reserve the right to recover damages for tortious business interference.

Please note that whether or not we disable access to or remove content, STRIDER™ may make a good faith attempt to forward the written notification, including the complainant’s contact information, to the Member who posted the content and/or take other reasonable steps to notify the Member that STRIDER™ has received notice of an alleged violation of intellectual property rights or other content violation.

It is our policy, in appropriate circumstances and in our discretion, to disable and/or terminate the accounts of Members who infringe or repeatedly infringe the rights of others or otherwise post unlawful content.
