Grow Your Community with StriderPay Accounting!

At STRIDER, we’re committed to creating a fair and sustainable model for your events. We understand that equestrian events often operate on tight margins. That’s why we’ve built a digital services model designed for accounting transparency and community sustainability.

As a PayPal Global Partner, STRIDER uses industry-leading technology to ensure affordable, secure transactions and protect your data. This lets you focus on providing exceptional experiences for your participants, while keeping your costs predictable and fair.

Your Account, Your Rates

STRIDER’s integration with PayPal makes accounting easy for every transaction, no matter what payment method the rider chooses at checkout (Venmo, credit/debit card, or PayPal)

The specific PayPal account processing rate you’ve negotiated is automatically applied to each deposit, regardless of how the rider pays—ensuring you always know what to expect.

If you’re unsure about your rates, you can easily check them directly in your PayPal account.

What Does The Rider Pay?

We proactively add a small sum to each rider’s transaction, to cover your digital transaction costs. This sum is designed to cover your payment processing, data handling, and secure data storage costs, so there are no out-of-pocket costs or manual calculations for you.

Take a look at the image below.  The venue charged $375.00- we proactively collected $396.34 – @ 5.6% -to ensure you are not out of pocket on transaction costs.

Important Note:  Due to the fixed fee component on digital payments- which we have no control over- smaller transactions can sometimes give riders the impression of a higher fee percentage, since the fixed amount appears to be large relevant to the total cost. However, this is a natural part of payment processing, and is not a cause for alarm.

Keep The Sport Viable For the Future

We encourage you to remind your riders that manually processing off-line payments can create additional costs to show management of $35-$60 per entry, making digital payments much more effective for the wider community.

How Will Our Treasurer/Accountant Know the Payment Is for a Strider Platform Activity?

STRIDER’s integration with PayPal makes accounting easy for every transaction, no matter what payment method the rider chooses at checkout (Venmo, credit/debit card, or PayPal).

At any time, you can review each payment’s details directly in your PayPal account. Simply click on a transaction to view all related information, including the exact Strider event or activity name. This ensures your treasurer/accountant can easily identify the source and purpose of each payment.

Example: When you click on a transaction, you’ll see the Strider activity name clearly listed next to the payment details—whether it’s for a clinic, show, or event. No more wondering, “What does this emoji for a Venmo payment mean?” or “Why did Laura send me $50?”

I don’t have PayPal—Can you help me set up?

Absolutely! Getting started with StriderPay is quick and simple. Just create a FREE StriderBasic account and visit StriderPay Setup. We’ll guide you through setting up your account and getting approved for StriderPay in just a few minutes.

Here’s a great Account Setup Checklist

Can we set up a PayPal account just for STRIDER?

Yes! PayPal allows you to have multiple accounts under the same EIN (Employer Identification Number). PayPal will automatically consolidate all accounting and IRS forms under the same EIN number, simplifying your tax and financial reporting.

This means you can create a separate PayPal business account specifically for your StriderPay transactions without affecting your other PayPal accounts.

TIP: If you’re part of a larger organization or non-profit, be sure to use the parent organization’s legal name, not your branch, local “Doing Business As” name or chapter’s name, when setting up the PayPal account. The EIN must matche the organization’s legal name to make StriderPay approval a smooth process.
