Activate StriderPay
Activating StriderPay takes just a few minutes.
To get started, simply connect your PayPal Business account to STRIDER through your Organizer Dashboard.
If you already have one, you can connect it in just a few clicks. If you don’t, STRIDER will guide you through creating one as part of the setup process.
Activate Now:
- Log in to your Organizer Dashboard and open the Payments tab.
- Click “Connect Account”. Enter the email address on your PayPal Business account.
- From there, STRIDER walks you through the remaining steps.
Once your PayPal Business account is approved & ready for use, you’ll see the status update as “Connected”.
That’s it! You’re ready to publish your events and start accepting online entries and payments.

You need a validated “Business” category PayPal account.
A PayPal “Business” category account is the classification term PayPal uses to allow unlimited payment for services. It does NOT mean you have to have a business EIN set up.
You can sign up as an Individual for a PayPal Business Account.
Select the type “Individual Proprietorship” after selecting a “Business” category account.
No. You do not need a Venmo account.
Our integrated StriderPay service uses PayPal’s secure payment technology to process all transactions, regardless of how your rider decides to pay.
During setup, you’ll connect a PayPal Business account so every payment, including Venmo payments, is securely processed and deposited in one place.
Yes! Turn on PayPal’s daily AutoSweep Feature. Every night funds will deposit in the bank account.

It generally takes 1-3 business days for funds to finish processing into your account.
How do I move funds from PayPal to my bank account?
Set up AutoSweep. That way, funds move automatically each night for you.
Qualified non-profits and high-volume organizations may be eligible for discounted processing rates.
If your PayPal Business account already has special pricing, contact PayPal Merchant Sales at 1-866-745-4021 (press 1) to have those rates applied to your STRIDER transactions. Existing rates are not transferred automatically.
Qualified non-profits typically receive PayPal processing rates in the 1.59%–1.99% range.
You do. You are in charge of any money paid for your activities. See “How To Issue Refunds” for instructions.
Validate your Business
PayPal will want to know who owns the business and who are the executives in the business. Provide enough details to PayPal that a legit person controls the business and not a money-launder.
You typically only need 1 Beneficial Owner and 1 Executive listed.
If the pre-populated data is accurate, continue through the onboarding screens.
You’ll see which items are outstanding with the gear “settings” icon near the profile link.
Confirm Your PayPal Email
Before you can accept payments with StriderPay, you’ll need to confirm your email address with PayPal.
Here’s how:
- Log in to your PayPal Business account.
- Go to Profile > Profile & Settings.
- Select Confirm this email next to your unconfirmed email address.
- Check your inbox for PayPal’s confirmation email.
- Click Confirm your email in the message.
- Return to PayPal and sign in to complete the confirmation.
Once your email is confirmed, your PayPal Business account is verified and ready to accept payments through StriderPay.
Info to Have Ready:
To speed up setup, have the following available:
➨ Access to your business/organization’s email address and bank account (you’ll verify your email through PayPal)
➨ Your EIN or SSN (sole proprietors can use their SSN)
➨ Your business type and physical address (LLC, nonprofit, corporation, etc.)
➨ The account owner’s information, including a driver’s license, date of birth, and U.S. bank account details
➨ A customer support phone number (your barn or business number is fine)
Click “I’ll do this later.” The first option adds 0.4% to your processing costs. The second option is for your own website.
