⚡ Troubleshooting StriderPay Questions

Most StriderPay accounts are approved instantly. But if you see a message that says “We’re reviewing your info…”, don’t worry — just follow these steps:

✅ Step 1: Check Your Email

Look for a message from PayPal, including your Spam or Junk folder. They may need more information to verify your account.

✅ Step 2: Log Into PayPal

If action is needed, you’ll often see a notification right after logging in. Follow any prompts provided.

🚩 Likely Cause for Delay: Account Holder Info Needs Updating

Even for businesses or nonprofits, PayPal often pauses account approval if the account holder details are missing or outdated — this is the most common issue.

The account holder is simply the person who will manage the PayPal account.  PayPal needs their personal info is used to verify identity, as funds will be flowing into the account.

PayPal will ask for Full LEGAL name (as shown on driver’s license)  | Date of birth | Home address | Last 4 digits of SSN, etc

This is not a credit check, is not connected to your business taxes,  and the account holder can be changed anytime

🔄 How to Update Account Holder Info:

  1. Log into your PayPal account

  2. Hover over your name (top right), then select Account Settings

  3. Click Account owner information on the left

  4. Click Change next to your name

  5. Select Your contact name has changed

  6. Follow the instructions to upload any required documents
